2025 - Power Production - Repair to Engine 7

The following repairs need to made on a 1973 Fairbanks Morse model 3800TDD8-1/8: • Inspect Jacket Water system to verify cause of water leak in exhaust area • Remove top cover • Remove upper oil jumpers • Remove upper main bearing caps • Remove upper crankshaft • Remove upper rod & piston assembly of liner to be replaced • Remove lower rod & piston assembly of liner to be replaced • Dis-assemble rod & piston assemblies. Requalify all components to OEM specifications or replace as necessary • Inspect vertical drive assemblies; rebuild as necessary • Remove cylinder liner • Clean air box, exhaust belts, fuel deck areas, etc. • Install new cylinder liner with new O-rings, etc. • Re-install upper rod & piston assembly with new rings • Re-install lower rod & piston assembly with new rings • Inspect, clean, upper crankshaft • Install upper crankshaft • Install upper main bearing caps; install requalified bearings, replace as necessary • Install upper oil jumpers • Install top cover • Provide and install new adapters, copper gaskets & O-rings on replaced cylinder(s) • Provide and install gaskets as necessary to complete required work • Fill the jacket water with water and leak check • Test operate the unit Also provide a warranty on the work that was performed for at least 1 year
