PMUA Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection Service

The Plumsted Municipal Utilities Authority is soliciting bid proposals from solid waste collectors interested in providing solid waste collection AND disposal services for a period of five (5) years, to commence on January 1, 2026 and ending on December 31, 2030, in accordance with the terms of these Bid Specifications and N.J.A.C. 7:26H-6 et seq. Bidders are advised that Plumsted Township is a competitive market for said services, meaning residents are NOT required to participate in the PMUA’s contract by ordinance. Rather, residents are free to choose their solid waste and recycling collection and disposal vendor. There are, on average, approximately 1,250-accounts that participate in the PMUA’s contract but the Authority makes no guarantee as to whether or not residents will elect to remain with services through the PMUA. An allowance has been included in the event additional accounts are added to the PMUA contract. The Vendor shall be responsible for determining the most cost effective and efficient schedule for providing said services and shall communicate such and collaborate with the Plumsted Municipal Utilities Authority to implement determined logistics
