Description
Sidewalk Construction Notice to Contractors Sealed bids for Jackson Street Sidewalk Improvements – Perryman to Miller will be received at: Willard City Hall, 224 W Jackson St, Willard, MO 65781 until 11:00 o'clock A.M. (Prevailing Local Time) on the 27th day of August, 2025 and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in the form of sealed bids addressed to the City of Willard, 224 W Jackson St. Willard, MO 65781 and designated as “BID FOR JACKSON STREET SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS” The proposed work includes: Construction of new sidewalk along Jackson Street, including demolition and removals required to accomplish such construction. Additionally, replacement of driveway aprons and public roadway sections impacted by sidewalk construction. All work will be required to adhere to ADA Standards. Plans and specifications must be secured from Springfield Blue Print, located at 219 East Pershing St., Springfield Missouri, 65806 or by contacting Springfield Blue Print at www.spfdblue.com or 417-869-7316. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the state wage rate current at the time of bid opening. The City of Willard hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The City of Willard reserves the right to reject any or all bids
