PUBLIC NOTICEADL 422468Notice of Issued Decision for Public Utility EasementGolden Valley Electric AssociationJuly 28, 2025Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources has authorized issuance of an easement for the following:APPLICANT: Golden Valley Electric AssociationGEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:Easement: Near Mile Post 1411 of the Alaska Highway, southeast of Delta Junction.PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Within Section 20, Township 11 South, Range 12 East, Fairbanks Meridian, in the Fairbanks Recording District. The easement is approximately 334.97 feet in length and 30 feet in width for a total of 0.23 acres, more or less. The easement is depicted on ADL 422468: Attachment A, included as “Attachment A” to this document.AUTHORIZED ACTIVITIES: The department has authorized issuance of a public utility easement for Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) to extend a powerline across state-owned, DMLW-managed public lands outside of Delta Junction, Alaska, near milepost 1411 of the Alaska Highway. The purpose of the easement is to provide residential electrical service.DNR-DMLW complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
