STATE OF ALASKA, DOT&PF Northern RegionNOTICE:Denali Area Airport Planning Study Public Meeting NoticeAugust 21, 202512-1pm Online via Zoom & 5-7pm In PersonTri-Valley Community Center612 Healy Spur RoadHealy, AK 99743Please join the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) and the Denali Area Airport Planning Study (DAAPS) public involvement team for an open house and project update. The open house will present three scenarios for development of the Denali area aviation system, focused on maintaining the current level of service. The online and in-person meetings will cover the same information, and attendees will be asked to provide feedback on the scenarios. Instructions on how to attend the online meeting can be found in the Attachments section of this notice. The DOT&PF is conducting an aviation system planning study for airports serving the residents, visitors, agencies, and businesses of the Denali Borough. It is essential to the viability of this study that all stakeholders have a voice in the process. There are no foregone conclusions in the planning process; the data and stakeholder input inform the outcome. Recommendations can range from ‘do nothing’ to constructing a new airport, and anything in between.Persons with a hearing impairment can contact the department by dialing Alaska Relay at 711 and asking the communication assistant to call the telephone number listed.
