51060 Proposal To Issue A Land Use Permit - Sitka

PROPOSAL TO ISSUE A LAND USE PERMIT: The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to permit use of Parcel P, the parking lot at the Sitka Airport (ADA-51060), of approximately 111,127 square feet of land, for ten (10) years, to expire approximately November 1, 2035. Applicant: City & Borough of Sitka. Authorized uses: Aeronautical - Operation of a public parking lot primarily to support the Terminal and other related aeronautical facilities; limited parking area for use by commercial rental car companies under sublease; division of parking lot as needed to allow for designated space for large commercial users and car sharing agencies. Duties will include: Policing and monitoring use of the parking lot; providing adequate ADA parking areas including compliant striping and space allocation; ticketing/towing/impound of vehicles parked illegally; plowing snow and keeping parking lot generally maintained. Reasonable and customary fees for parking in the parking lot may be charged. Annual rent: $24,114.56Competing applications or written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., September 15, 2025, after which the Department will determine whether or not to execute the Permit.
