ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY PUBLIC NOTIFICATION LOWER KUSKOKWIM SCHOOL DISTRICT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTIN NAPAKIAK, ALASKA, WITH VILLAGE SAFE WATERJuly 2025Notice of Availability of an Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the installation of a wastewater treatment module in Napakiak, Alaska under the management of the Lower Kuskokwim School District (LKSD), the Department of Education and Early Development (DEED), and The State of Alaska Village Safe Water (VSW).The FONSI includes the following construction activities:•A 2500-gallon-per-day septic/treatment trailer will be purchased and installed at the new lagoon site southwest of the LKSD school.•Heaters within the septic treatment trailer will also be installed.LEAD AGENCY: Village Safe WaterFUNDING AGENCY: U.S. Environmental Protection AgencyACTION: Finding Of No Significant ImpactSUMMARY: This notice advises the public that an EA and FONSI for the proposed LKSD wastewater treatment module in Napakiak, Alaska, are available for public review.
