Description
The City of Asheboro is soliciting bids from qualified general contractors for the construction of the David & Pauline Jarrell Center City Gardens, funded under the City’s Community Development Block Grant – CARES Act (CDBG-CV) program. Contractors must hold a valid North Carolina General Contractor’s License issued by the NC Licensing Board of General Contractors and be appropriately classified for the scope of work described in the Instructions to Bidders. Contracts will be awarded through a competitive bidding process. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in the Asheboro City Hall Council Chambers, 146 N. Church Street, Asheboro, NC 27203. Bid packages will be available at the meeting and upon request – at no cost - by emailing bids@consultinsight.com. Completed bids must be submitted no later than 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, and will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter at the Asheboro City Hall Council Chambers, 146 N. Church Street, Asheboro, NC 27203. All inquiries regarding this project must be submitted via email to bids@consultinsight.com no later than 12:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026.
