Request for Information for Standardization of Prefabricated Construction Specifications for the HISFA

The School Facilities Authority (HISFA) has issued Request for Information (RFI) number SFA-RFI24-01, titled "Request for Information for Standardization of Prefabricated Construction Specifications for the HISFA". The purpose of this RFI is to gather information from qualified vendors and industry experts regarding the standardization of prefabricated construction specifications. HISFA is seeking to understand best practices, available technologies, and industry standards related to prefabricated construction, with the goal of developing standardized specifications for future projects. The scope of the RFI encompasses all aspects of prefabricated construction relevant to school facilities, including but not limited to: design, materials, manufacturing processes, transportation, installation, quality control, and long-term performance. HISFA is interested in information regarding various prefabricated construction methods, such as modular construction, panelized systems, and component-based approaches. Key requirements include providing detailed information on existing standards, codes, and regulations governing prefabricated construction. Respondents are expected to share their experience with implementing prefabricated construction in similar projects, including any challenges encountered and lessons learned. HISFA also seeks information on cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and potential benefits of standardization.
