Bid proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Bid deliveries other than hand-delivered (i.e., faxed, mailed, or emailed) will not be considered. Late bids will be returned unopened.BID OPENING:All bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, Washington, for this request for bids.DESCRIPTION OF WORK:Contractor shall perform all work and furnish all tools, materials, supplies, equipment, labor and other items incidental thereto necessary for the construction and completion of the work, more particularly described as the2nd Avenue Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvementsproject. The Project includes, without limitation, 2nd Avenue pedestrian and bicycle facilities between B Street and Linwood Avenue, a non-circular roundabout at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Linwood Avenue, curb ramps, sidewalks, pavement marking, street signs, illumination, pedestrian beacons, stormwater improvements, clean-up, and other work; all in accordance with the attached Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications, all in accordance with the Contract Documents (“Work”).Cost estimate range: $3,750,000 to 4,250,000BID DOCUMENTS:Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going towww.bxwa.comand clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Tumwater.” This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project.
