REQUEST FOR BIDS2nd Avenue Pedestrian & Bicycle ImprovementsSUBMITTAL OF SEALED BIDS:Notice is hereby given that sealed bids shall be hand-delivered to the Public Works Department front counter, located downstairs at Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, Washington from10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025, for the2nd Avenue Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements. Bid proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Bid deliveries other than hand-delivered (i.e., faxed, mailed, or emailed) will not be considered. Late bids will be returned unopened.BID OPENING:All bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road SW, Tumwater, Washington, for this request for bids.DESCRIPTION OF WORK:Contractor shall perform all work and furnish all tools, materials, supplies, equipment, labor and other items incidental thereto necessary for the construction and completion of the work, more particularly described as the2nd Avenue Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvementsproject. The Project includes, without limitation, 2nd Avenue pedestrian and bicycle facilities between B Street and Linwood Avenue, a non-circular roundabout at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Linwood Avenue, curb ramps, sidewalks, pavement marking, street signs, illumination, pedestrian beacons, stormwater improvements, clean-up, and other work; all in accordance with the attached Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications, all in accordance with the Contract Documents (“Work”).Cost estimate range: $3,750,000 to 4,250,000BID DOCUMENTS:Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going towww.bxwa.comand clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Tumwater.” This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. No addendums will be issued within 24 hours of bid opening.RESERVATION OF RIGHTS:The City of Tumwater reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or any portion of any bid, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid or in the bidding and determine which bid or bidder meets the criteria set forth in the bid documents.
