Description
The City of Columbus, Department of Public Utilities is receiving proposals until October 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time for professional engineering services of the Division of Water’s Hap Cremean Water Plant (HCWP) Screening and Sludge Removal Improvements, C.I.P. No. 691200-100001. This project will provide engineering planning and design services to develop alternatives to construct improvements at HCWP to replace the existing raw water mechanical screens and its associated components, and replace sludge collection mechanisms in softening basins 3, 4, 5 and 6 including flights, chains, wear strips, wear shoes, bearings, sprockets, gear reducers and shafts. Also other work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material specifications set forth in this Request For Proposals (RFP). All questions concerning this project are to be sent to DPUCapitalRFP@columbus.gov. The last day to submit questions will be October 22, 2025, phone calls will not be accepted. Responses will be posted on Bonfire at www.bonfire.com as an addendum. Notice of published addenda will be posted on the City’s Vendor Services web site. Preproposal meeting will be held by the Division of Water. A site tour will be held at 12:30 p.m., October 8, 2025, at the Hap Cremean Water Plant, 4250 Morse Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43230. Any offeror wishing to tour the water plant must furnish their own steel toe shoes/boots, safety glasses/goggles, high visibility vests or coat, and hard hats. This will be the only opportunity for interested parties to tour the secure areas of the water plant prior to submitting proposals. The site tour is not mandatory. However, all offerors will be responsible for any information presented on the tour. Note: there is a major construction project currently underway at the site
