Sealed bids forBid: #26-23, 22025 Full Depth Roadway Resurfacingwill be received at the Procurement Office, City of Everett, 484 Broadway, Room 14, Everett, MA 02149 untilOctober 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM (addendum #1),at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. In general, the work under this contract includes full-depth roadway reclamation; placement of hot mix asphalt pavement; removal and resetting of existing granite curbing; installation of new granite curbing; construction of cement concrete sidewalks and ADA/AAB-compliant pedestrian ramps; installation of subsurface structures and associated piping; installation of new rims, grates, and frames; removal and resetting of existing rims, grates, and frames; construction of tree planting pits; installation of traffic signage; and all related roadway and site improvement work at various locations. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained online at the city website,Purchasing – Everett, MA – Official Website (cityofeverett.com). Bids will be opened in theProcurement Office of the City of Everett, 484 Broadway, RM 14, Everett, MA 02149, on October 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM.Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of aBID BONDor,CERTIFIED CHECKissued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. There will be no Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit. Estimated Project cost $1M A Payment Bond (labor and materials) and a Performance Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract price, will be required. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G. L. 30 & 39M.Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive. The Contract(s) will be awarded to “the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s)” pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Such bidder(s) shall possess the skill, ability and integrity necessary for the faithful performance of the work, shall be able to furnish labor that can work in harmony with all other elements of labor employed, or to be employed, in the work, and shall otherwise comply with all applicable provisions of law. Contract award shall be subject to availability of an appropriation for funding. It is thebidder’s sole responsibility to check for and acknowledge any addenda or updates to the bid documents.Failure to acknowledge issued addenda may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
