Description

The Alaska Department of fish and Game has adopted regulations regarding changes to Title 5 Chapter 40 of the Alaska Administrative Code that will allow the department to manage private nonprofit shellfish hatcheries and modifies existing salmon hatchery regulations to update antiquated language, ensure consistent terminology and reorders existing Sections. The regulations and regulation changes summary are attached to the bottom of this notice.The Lieutenant Governor signed and filed the regulation on May 12, 2025 and the regulation becomes effective June 11, 2025.The regulations will appear in Register 254, July 2025, of the Alaska Administrative Code.For further questions, please email shellene.hutter@alaska.gov or call 907-465-6124
