Oakland is seeking safety improvements for the 14th Street corridor to enhance pedestrian and traffic safety

Description

This project will install signal mast arms, leading pedestrian intervals, RRFBs, pedestrian crossings and a road diet. The project aims to improve the crossing experience for all users and improve safety via installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons at a few locations, as well as traffic signal upgrades (timing and equipment), remove/installing striping, installing signs, installing curb ramps, installing corner bulb outs, and implementing a corridor road diet. Q&A deadline is on 02/24/26, 2:00 PM to CapitalContracts@oaklandca.gov. This project has a "prevailing wage" requirement. This solicitation has some or all Local funding, additional requirements may apply.
