Notice of an Airport Land Boundary Change & the Creation of an Easement

STATE OF ALASKADepartment of Transportation and Public Facilities NOTICE OF AN AIRPORT LAND BOUNDARY CHANGE &THE CREATION OF AN EASEMENTNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (the Department) proposes the release of a portion of land from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) encumbrances at Wiley Post/Will Rogers Memorial Airport (Barrow Airport), as well as a subsequent easement request for land use.This airport boundary change by the Department is evaluated by 17 AAC 42.900.The subject property is approximately 2 acres of land located within Tract I, USS 4615 Block 45 at the Wiley Post/Will Rogers Memorial Airport (Barrow Airport). The Department has determined the allotment is not needed for the airport’s maintenance and/or operation and is not needed for a public purpose.The physical file of the proposal is available for public inspection from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Right of Way Section, 2720 Picket Place (west side of Peger Rd.), Fairbanks, Alaska. Written comments about the proposed disposal will be accepted by the Department.
