The first day of this time period will be no later than the 28th day after the contract award.In accordance with the California Labor Code, general prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages shall be paid on this project. Copies of applicable prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages are available on request to the City Engineer.Due to the passage of Senate Bill 854, several additions and revisions were made to the California Labor Code. The addition of Labor Code 1725.5 requires all contractors and subcontractors to register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to be eligible to work on public works projects. At the time the bid is submitted the Contractor and all subcontractors must be registered with the DIR in accordance with the California Labor Code to be eligible for the project. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR.
